DAY, 1 (Wednesday): Depart from USA to Brazil
Brazil occupies approximately half of the South American continent. Here we will marvel at the world’s widest waterfalls, enjoy Rio’s world-famous beaches, and learn about one of the most colorful cultures and dynamic Jewish communities in the world. We will then journey to Argentina, where we immediately feel the fusion of South American energy and European sophistication in Buenos Aires
DAY, 2 (Thursday): Rio de Janeiro
Arrive in Rio de Janeiro where you will be met and assisted by Yona Tours’ representatives and transfer to your hotel. You may use the hotel pool and facilities. (Please note the hotel check-in time is 3:00 PM). The beach’s turquoise waters are ideal for swimming, though the waves can be a bit strong. After dinner return to your hotel.
DAY, 3 (Friday): Corcovado, City center
Today we will visit "Corcovado", one of seven new wonders of the world. Enjoy one of the most majestic views of Rio de Janeiro: the beaches of Copacabana, Ipanema and Leblon, and the Lagoon. The statue, which is 38m in height and was made of reinforced concrete clad in a mosaic of thousands of triangular soapstone tiles. We will have a chance to see some of the most beautiful views of the city. Visit The Museum of Tomorrow. Have fun with interactive exhibits that reveal the way the world is transforming and how climate change and social disintegration can be avoided. Then head for the Saara District of the city center, where you can purchase just about anything, including clothes and cosmetics. Browse the shops and market stalls lining the busy jumble of streets.
DAY, 4 (Saturday): Rio de Janeiro
After prayers in one of the local synagogues and lunch, enjoy Shabbat with the local community and have some relaxation . You may use the hotel pool and facilities. Relax at the beach hotel. Tonight, enjoy an optional folklore Brazilian show "Plataforma" featuring skilled dancers, entertainers, "samba" bands and spectacular costumes in a wonderful display of Brazilian folklore and carnival.
DAY, 5 (Sunday): Tijuca Rain Forest, Selaron Stairs
Drive from Rio to the Tijuca Rain Forest. The tour includes an easy hike, giving you the chance to spot monkeys, birds, butterflies and tropical flora. You'll be amazed by the remarkable contrast of a tropical rain forest right in the middle of a big city. Take a morning Venture outside the center of Rio de Janeiro to visit the beautiful “Santa Teresa” neighborhood. The unique Santa Teresa district is located on the outskirts of Rio and enchants locals and visitors with its street art and eclectic architecture. Next, we will visit the Escadaria Selarón (Selaron stairs), a colorful tiled stairway, work of a self-taught Chilean artist Jorge Selarón. 215 steps that he entirely covered with tiles collected in urban areas of Rio or donated by visitors from all around the world. Since 1990, Selarón has laid over 2000 tiles, mainly red-colored: unique pieces representing a “tribute to the Brazilian people”. Then have a scenic boat ride along Guanabana Bay to enjoy stunning views while you relax with a welcome drink and snacks. After dinner return to your hotel.
DAY, 6 (Monday): “Bird Park”, Relaxation
Early morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Iguassu Falls. A must see at Iguazu Falls Brazil is the “Bird Park” (Parque das Aves). This 12 acre Atlantic rainforest park gave us an opportunity to be in close contact with birds and butterflies. A unique experience of direct contact with the natural world. There are Flamingos, Toucans, Macaws, rheas, ostriches, cassowaries, owls, conures, hummingbirds, and more. Then check in to your resort hotel and have some relaxation time by the pool.
DAY, 7 (Tuesday): Iguazu Falls (Brazil Site)
Take a walking tour of the Brazilian side of Iguassu Falls. Stroll around catwalks and admire the beauty and abundance of one of the world's great natural wonders spanning over two- and one-half miles across with 275 separate cataracts. You will drive to the Iguazu Falls National Park, where you will enjoy intimate views of the “Iguazu River” and the falls, as well as a hike through the park.
Then, experience the Marvelous Boat Navigation on the Brazilian Side of the Falls with “Macuco Sfari”. “Macuco Safari” offers an extraordinary adventure that seamlessly blends the beauty of the jungle with the breathtaking beauty of Iguazu Falls. This captivating experience unfolds in three thrilling stages: Jungle, Trail, and Boat. It all begins with a 2 km journey through the lush Iguaçu National Park, where you’ll be transported by eco-friendly electric vehicles, ensuring a quiet and panoramic exploration of the vibrant vegetation. The adventure reaches its climax with a boat tour near the falls, allowing you to get up close to this natural wonder.
DAY, 8 (Wednesday): Iguazu Falls (Argentina Site)
Join us on this fantastic full day exploration of the enchanting “Iguazu Falls” on the Argentinian side. Lower and upper walkways give you an up close and personal waterfall experience. Truly one of the new 7 natural wonders of the world, these falls will take your breath away. Transfer to the airport and fly to Buenos Aires capital of Argentine. After dinner and check in at your hotel, Buenos Aires' striking monuments and vibrant neighborhoods are even more atmospheric after sunset. Discover the city after dark and stop to admire illuminated landmarks such as the Woman's Bridge in Puerto Madero, the Casa Rosada on Plaza de Mayo. You can visit some of the bustling nightlife streets of Bunos Aires like “Palermo or San Telmo”.
DAY, 9 (Thursday): Buenos Aires
Enjoy a Buenos Aires tour of the city’s highlights. You will start your tour in the city center on the beautiful Plaza de Mayo surrounded by the Casa Rosada (Government House), San Telmo, and Recoleta, and the splendid Cabildo building, which served as City Hall under the Spanish colonial rule. You will then continue to Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires’ modern, financial district, where you’ll learn about the fascinating transformation of this lively neighborhood. Have free time for shopping at your leisure. Buenos Aires has some of the best shopping. Palermo is the trendiest part of Buenos Aires, so you can expect the shopping to be quite good. Full of boutiques shop and name brands catering to men and women alike. After dinner check in to your hotel.
DAY, 10: (Friday): Jewish Heritage, Japanese Garden
This morning, it's time to explore the wonders of Buenos Aires' Jewish Heritage. Start with a visit to the Grand Synagogue, the Libertad, built at the beginning of the century and at one time the center of religious activity in Buenos Aires. Following is a visit to the Jewish Museum which vividly depicts the history of the Jewish community then visit Israel Embassy Plaza and Amia Federation (outside). Afterward visit the largest Japanese Garden “Jardin Japones” outside Japan. You will find the peaceful Japanese Gardens, an oasis of calm and serenity in the middle of the crazy, busy, noisy city of Buenos Aires. Then after visiting some other panoramic tours of areas come back to hotel and prepare for Shabbat, candle lighting, shabbat prayer and dinner.
DAY, 11 (Saturday): Buenos Aires
After prayers in one of the local synagogues and lunch, enjoy Shabbat with the local community and have some relaxation. Tonight, you can experience and enjoy an optional famous Tango show. In Buenos Aires, tango is more than a dance, it's a cherished art form that helps define the city's personality.
DAY, 12 (Sunday): Caminito, Tigre River Delta
This morning, visit “Caminito”, which translates as “little street,” wasn’t always a street. It was originally a stream; when the water dried up, railroad tracks were built on the dry bed. When the tracks were removed, it became a landfill. Today it is considered one of Buenos Aires’ most colorful streets. Located in the neighborhood of La Boca, the street is a good place to watch artists at work and view their completed works. Then by afternoon escape the city for a tour of the “Tigre River Delta”. Enjoy a cruise around the canals and islands of the idyllic “Tigre Delta” (Famous as Venie of Buenos Aires). During the tour, you'll also see the fruit market, bridges and try some hand-made empanadas. By evening transfer to the airport for your flight.
