SUNDAY (Day, 1): U.S.A -Netherland
Fly from U.S.A to Amsterdam capital of the Netherlands.
One of the most popular travel destinations in Europe, Amsterdam is a compact, charming and cosmopolitan city that invites exploration. Known as the “Venice of the North” for its more than 100 canals, the capital of the Netherlands offers sight-seeing adventures by foot, bike and boat. From the city’s fine art museums to its colorful flower there’s something exciting and unique to discover in Amsterdam at every turn.
MONDAY (Day, 2): Amsterdam
Arrive in Amsterdam to be met and assisted by your guide at the airport. Then we depart for our guided tour of Amsterdam. Drive through the rich history and culture of this city. Visit the world-famous Portuguese Synagogue. This building was constructed in the years 1671 to 1675, about 75 years after the first Sephardi Jews arrived in the Netherlands, refugees from the persecutions of the Inquisition in Spain and Portugal. This synagogue and the Gerard Dou Synagogue were the only two such buildings in Amsterdam to emerge unscathed from World War II. After the war the remnant of Sephardi Jews started to use the building once again and in the 1950s and 1990s it underwent complete renovation. Then we will check in at our hotel. Check in time in hotel starts at 3:00 PM. After some rest in the hotel we depart for dinner and sightseeing of city at night. Visit one of the coziest neighborhoods of Amsterdam, the Jordaan. Then transfer to hotel.
TUESDAY (Day, 3): Amsterdam
Today we start with visiting Van Gogh Museum. Widely regarded as one of the world's most important art galleries (it's also the second most visited museum in the Netherlands), it opened to great acclaim in 1973 and houses the world's largest collection of Van Gogh paintings. Visit the famous floating flower market and enjoy all the colorful flowers with wonderful smells. One of the most unique features of the flower market in Amsterdam is the fact that it is floating on the Single Canal. Then visit the Anne Frank Museum that is dedicated to the all-too-short life of one of the world's best-known Holocaust victims. In the actual home in which Anne's family hid for much of WWII - they were Jewish refugees from the German city of Frankfurt - it was here that Anne wrote the diary that became an international bestseller after the war, just a few years after her death at age 15 (she died just two months before the war ended). Much of the home has been kept as it was during Anne's time, and it serves as a poignant monument to a tragic period of history. Afterward continue our tours with a visit to Heineken beer Experience Established in 1864, Heineken is now one of the world’s biggest beer producers. The lighthearted, fun, historical tour takes a quick 90 minutes. The Heineken Experience ticket includes two beers. A canal cruise is an absolute must during your stay in Amsterdam! Amsterdam is a city of water and its 100 canals and 1,000 bridges are famous throughout the world. All cruise boats have panoramic roofs and This is a must for any Amsterdam tourist.
WEDNESDAY (Day, 4): Amsterdam-Vienna
Today transfer to the airport for your flight to Vienna (our surprise destination as addition to you). Get to know Vienna on a walking tour that’s perfect for introduction to visitors. From Maria-Theresien-Platz, you’ll stroll with your guide around the Ringstrasse. The beautiful boulevard surrounds central Vienna and is home to some of the city ’s most significant monuments including the Austrian Parliament, Vienna City Hall, Schönbrunn Gardem and palace. As the former summer residence of the powerful Habsburg dynasty, the UNESCO-listed Schönbrunn Palace is considered by many as one of Europe’s most stunning baroque structures. After dinner transfer to your hotel.
THURSDAY (Day, 5): Lake Bled
Travel to the beautiful resort town of Bled in the foothills of the Julian Alps in Slovenia. Visit Vintgar Gorge. In Vingar Gorge you will be able to walk along forest trails offering superb views of this most dramatic natural feature carved out of limestone by the waters of the Radovna river. Then journey up to the castle perched on the top of a steep cliff above the glacial Lake Bled. Get spectacular views of the lake and its tiny island from the terraces, and then board a traditional pletna boat and sail across to the only true island in Slovenia.
FRIDAY (Day, 6): Lublijana-Zagreb
Drive to “Ljubljana,” the capital of Slovenia. Tour the center of the city and visit the thousand-year-old fortress. Pass the Franciscan Cathedral and see the Rivers fountain, stroll along the Triple Bridge, the Dragon Bridge and shop in the colorful market. Then visit “Postojna Caves,” the largest and most beautiful stalactite caves in the world. Take a fascinating journey to the underground world to see magnificent lighted caverns and lighted stalactite and stalagmites formations. Then travel to Zadar, check in at your hotel and prepare for shabbat.
SATURDAY (Day, 7): Zagreb
Shabbat in Zagreb. We will walk to Zagreb synagogue for praying and visiting. Then by afternoon after Shabbat lunch enjoy short walking tour of Zagreb. Discover top attractions including the Lotrščak Tower, the Stone Gate and the seat of the Croatian Parliament. Then, descend via Tkalčićeva Street to the Lower Town and head through Dolac Market to medieval Kaptol. Admire traditional architecture in Ban Jelačić Square, then finish in the pretty surroundings of Zrinjevac Park.
SUNDAY (Day, 8): Plitvice Lakes National Park
Today we will be visiting the Plitvice Lakes, the oldest and largest of Croatia’s national parks that offers a stunning setting of lush, forested mountains and 16 levels of lakes nestled between Mount Mala Kapela and Mount Pljesevica. Walk through the picturesque hinterland and enjoy sightseeing of the upper and lower lakes by foot and boat. While the trails are steep, and the route takes in some 100 steps, it is well worth it for the excellent vantage points. By evening return to your hotel in Zagreb.
MONDAY (Day, 9): Budapest
We start driving North to Budapest. In Budapest, the Danube follows a roughly north-south route through the middle of the city, separating Buda from Pest. In panoramic bus sightseeing, discover the major landmarks of both Buda and Pest in the city that straddles east and west. Take in the breathtaking views from the Fisherman’s Bastion with its sensational views of the city. After dinner, you can have some relaxing time in the city center.
TUESDAY (Day, 10): Budapest-Prague
Today, travel through Budapest’s historic Jewish Quarter on a walking tour and learn about the community that remains active there today. The Essential Tour will begin with a step inside the biggest synagogue in Europe, the Dohány Street Synagogue. While inside, you’ll explore the Jewish Museum, which hosts an impressive exhibit of pieces from Hungarian and Eastern European artists. Tour the lavishly decorated Hungarian Parliament building. Counties our tour at the Chain Bridge, cross over the Danube on the Chain Bridge. (oldest suspension bridge in the country) and drive over to Buda. Then have some free time for shopping. Trace this nation’s stormy history at Heroes Square. After dinner transfer to the airport and fly to Prague, capital of Czech Republic.
WEDNESDAY (Day, 11): Prague
Today walking tour covers the Royal Coronation Route, followed for centuries by Bohemian kings. We will start from the Powder Tower at the Republican Square, and then we will stroll around the Old Town with its amazing monuments and places of interest like the Astronomical Clock, the Old Town square, and St. Nicholas. Enjoy shopping for Bohemian Crystal, one of the most famous local products. By afternoon, a Jewish Prague tour, which includes a visit to the famous, more than seven hundred years old, “Old–New Synagogue” and the other Shuls today converted into the Museum displaying the renowned “Precious Legacy” at Jewish Prague. The tour continues over the Charles Bridge, one of the oldest medieval bridges in Europe. After dinner, transfer to your hotel.
Thursday (Day, 12): Transfer
