DAY, 3 ROME

Today walk around the remains of the imposing ancient buildings and get an insight into the life of Roman society, their beliefs, and their social and political life. Visit Piazza Navona, one of the largest squares in the city. Then visit Pantheon, the immaculately preserved and seemingly just a few centuries old building, it isn't easy to believe that the structure was finished in AD 128 by Emperor Hadrian. No trip to Rome is complete without a visit to the Trevi Fountain, perhaps the most spectacular fountain in Rome. Built at the end of one of the famed aqueducts that supplied the Roman empire with water. Then enjoy some free time for shopping. Next visit the “Colosseum”. The grandest amphitheater in the world will amaze you! The arena floor is where Gladiators fought and died in the Colosseum. As you marvel at the great amphitheater around you, your guide will tell stories that will transport you back nearly 2,000 years when vicious sports were the most popular form of entertainment in Rome. Visit the Arch of Titus, a triumphal arch built in Rome to commemorate the victory of the Roman general, later emperor, Titus, in the Jewish War of 66-74 CE.

DAY, 4 : Rome

Today we added the new attraction to our tour “Villa D'Este” in the town of Tivoli. As you explore the grounds of the “Villa D'Este”, your guide will tell you about the history and development of the villa, considered one of the most enchanting sites of the late Italian Renaissance. Once the home of Lucrezia Borgia's son, it is renowned for its spectacular gardens and trees, as well as its waterfalls and fountains, such as the Fontana dell'Ovato and Le Cento Fontane (The Hundred Fountains). Then visit Grand Synagogue and museum of Rome. The Great Synagogue of Rome is large and impressive, dominating the square where it sits, and is of a very eclectic style with the only squared dome in the city. There is a Gallery of Antique Marbles from the synagogues of the ghetto, and a fascinating collection of textiles from the fifteenth to the nineteenth centuries. There are silver liturgical objects, bound prayer books, and eighteenth-century lamps, jugs, Ark keys, and bowls. Today, instead of dinner, have a famous Italian dairy lunch. Then visit Vatican City or have some free time for shopping in Rome’s local streets. A dress code is required to enter the Vatican. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed. Knees and shoulders must be covered for both men and women.
